The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) oversees the form and content of these products. NATS, as the UK Aeronautical Information Service Provider, is responsible for their preparation and availability.
These products are provided in accordance with UK AIP GEN 0.1.
PIBs are a recapitulation of valid NOTAMs of operational significance. The AIS Briefing Tool provides several types of PIBs, tailored to different operational needs:
PIBs are available via the briefing tool to registered users.
In the event the main NATS briefing portal is unavailable, you can still obtain essential briefing data via the Contingency PIB site, which provides Contingency Pre-Flight Information Bulletins (PIBs). These are maintained separately to ensure continuity of access and operational integrity during system outages.

NATS AIS has no affiliation with any third-party providers of briefing tools or data. If you encounter discrepancies using third-party sources, please contact that supplier directly.
As of AIRAC 10/2024 (03/10/2024), NATS AIS is introducing several administrative updates to the Digital Datasets page.
To simplify access and maintenance of Visual Reference Points, all entries from individual AD 2.22 Aerodrome sections have been removed and consolidated into a centralised dataset.
