Digital Datasets

As of AIRAC 10/2024 (03/10/2024), NATS AIS are introducing several, mostly administrative, changes to the digital datasets page.

The planned updates are to improve user's experience when interracting with our website and how they verify the information to ensure data intergrity is not compromised.  

• Individual dataset files will be supplied in a zipped file that will contain a SHA256 verification file;

• Dataset file names will follow Eurocontrol Interoperability guidelines for file name convention;

• Dataset metadata will be provided as a separate file or will form part of the dataset;

• A dataset checklist will be made available to enable users to verify dataset validity;

• A Data Product Specification (DPS) will be provided which gives an overview of specification scope, data product identification, data content and structure, reference system, data quality, data capture, data maintenance, data portrayal, data product delivery, additional information, and metadata;

• Datasets will be split into two categories: 'Regular Datasets,' which are updated according to the AIRAC schedule at intervals of 28 days, and 'Irregular Datasets,' which are reissued only when updates are available;

• An operational sector dataset for the UK London Area Control (LAC) and Prestwick will be made available in lieu of SUP 026/2023.
