Digital Datasets

With reference to AIC W003/2026, datasets are now available via the NATS AIS website for both operational and planning use. To support this change, the structure of the NATS AIS website has been updated to make datasets easier to locate and use.

 Datasets can be accessed at www.nats.aero/ais/datasets. From this page, users can browse the all range of available datasets and dataset documentation.
Navigation links at the top of the page allow users to move easily between the different dataset categories hosted on the website (Regular, Irregular, and Non‑standard).

 Selecting VFR Obstacles will take users to the relevant page, where all relevant obstacle data can be viewed.

 In addition, the Obstacle and Terrain Datasets page hosts Obstacle datasets for each aerodrome currently listed in the AIP. This replaces the AD 2.10 listing for the aerodrome and will be annotated as such within the AIP, with a link to the dataset page on the NATS website. Where data is not available, the corresponding icon will be shown as greyed out.

 Clear headings and navigation links are provided throughout the site to help users move between dataset categories and access supporting information.
