Activity: Air Intercepts, Air Combat Manoeuvring activity will take place in this designated area throughout the Bristol Channel, South West Approaches and the Southwest Peninsula of the UK.

Service: The aircraft will, wherever possible, be in receipt of a radar service from the most suitable Air Traffic Control Radar Unit. However, when conducting tactical training in the Southwest Approaches, aircraft will normally be operating independently beyond and below land-based radar coverage.

Advisory Measures: Details of aircraft operations may be obtained on request from Culdrose Approach on 282.575 MHz or 134.050 MHz.

RN helicopters are permitted to operate below 3000 FT in IMC once clear of the coast and released by Air Traffic Control. Mode 3/A codes 3700-3707 will be utilised for RN ASaC Training.

Note 5: AARA 13. Flight trial profiles may dictate that the RV takes place outside AARA 13. It remains the responsibility of the Tanker Controller to co-ordinate with other airspace users as necessary.

Note 6: In Areas designated as Permanently available for Air-to-Air Refuelling, the amount of warning concerning refuelling operations can be so minimal as to preclude notification by normal methods.

Note 7: Where Air-to-Air Refuelling Areas conflict with Airways, Advisory Routes or Upper Air Routes, civil / military co-ordination procedures are applied to minimise disruption to the planned flight profiles or the aircraft concerned.

Note 8: Where AARAs are required between FL 195 and FL 245 outside the normal hours of TRAs 001-008 (See ENR 5.2-2/3), the appropriate TRAs are booked via the MAMC - Managed Airspace before 1100 hours at D-1.
